Our proprietary K-tect building system integrates metal stud framing with advanced expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulating core to harness the positive aspects of traditional metal framing providing superior structural stability with predictable performance, durability, and recyclability while eliminating the negatives of thermal conductivity and sound bridging found in traditional metal framing and other building systems. By inserting our proprietary K-tect metal studs into the EPS, bridging is eliminated.

          Combined with advanced expanded polystyrene (EPS), an airtight building envelope of maximum thermal performance is produced, providing superior installation with near-zero air leakage to maximize the performance of the building envelope. Additional results are reduced energy consumption, 90% less air leakage than stick-framed structures, lower maintenance requirements, and an airtight building envelope of maximum thermal performance providing comfortable, healthy and safe indoor air quality.

          In addition to K-tect environmentally preferable characteristics and high performance, it is without design or build limitations resulting in great versatility for architects and designers. Arched roofs, arched windows, curved walls and other complex designs have never been easier and more material efficient.

          Structures built with K-tect Systems are affordable when compared to conventional building techniques, in particular due to the reduction in assembly time and callbacks and the predictability and adherence to project scheduling provided by indoor fabrication.           K-tect Systems are an eco-efficient building material – use recycled G90 galvanized steel and material efficient EPS - resulting in a light-weight product (environmentally preferable for transportation) with minimal construction waste off-site, non on-site, minimal site disturbance (no heavy equipment needed for installation), and recyclability of all components in the event of deconstruction.

          The EPS insulating core used in all K-tect Systems is GREENGUARD  Indoor Air Quality Certified and GREENGUARD Certified for Children and Schools and has undergone the rigorous third party C2C chemicals and materials assessment of respected firm of McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC) which determined that the EPS “is suited for circulating in a cradle-to-cradle life cycle as a technical nutrient.”
